After spending her formative years on Long Island, Ann recently traded her beach chair for the sun-soaked shores of Southwest Florida. Immersing herself in the snowbird culture of Marco Island, she caught rare glimpses of old-moneyed senior citizens in their high-end beachfront condos. Venturing further south into the enigmatic Everglades—the end of the road where exotic predators flourish—she found a wellspring of inspiration in Florida's rich tapestry of personal stories and unique, humorous situations.
With a career in elementary special education that sharpened her observational skills, Ann is ever alert for the next awe-inspiring moment or near catastrophe.
